What is cps tst?

cps tst stands for "Certified Protective Services Training" and is a training program offered by the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC). The program was developed to create uniform, global standards for security personnel across the security industry. It covers topics such as safety practices, communication, emergency procedures and strategic planning. CPS TST encourages security officers at all levels to have professional interpersonal skills.

The certification process for CPS TST consists of two parts – a written exam and practical examination. The written exam consists of multiple choice questions focusing on security principles, laws and regulations, emergency response and conceptual knowledge. The practical exam evaluates the ability of prospective certified officers to apply the concepts learned in the written test to real life situations. To pass this test successfully applicants must display a high level of understanding of appropriate protocols when dealing with potential criminal situations, as well as demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively with the public.

Receiving certification through CPS TST demonstrates an individual has reached a higher level of knowledge in security. Certification allows an individual to demonstrate their proficiency in this field to potential employers and clients, increasing their competitive advantage when searching for work in many areas of the security services industry. As such, individuals looking at pursuing a career within this sector are highly encouraged to explore completing this certification program.
